HD Kills Final Fantasy VII PS3 Remake

We all do, but you know it would take 3 times as long for square to remake ff7 in hd then it took them to make ff13 ...
would you want to wait 12-15 years just for a remake that doesn't need to be remade? director Yoshinori Kitase says over and over again that he wont start a project about it because it would take to much time.

A HD remake is probably not gonna happen. The game itself is already out... what more could you ask for? Graphics are shiny, but are ultimately only the mask of gameplay.

I will always love FFVII and it will be my favorite game, but i`d love aswell to see a remake
of it even though i know it would be many changes in it from the original version.
So yes, i want a remake of it but i don't think it is necessary.

I think its better if they first finish the other projects they are working on, but i really doubt that they would remake it. Would be awesome, but i doubt it.

Agreed. It would be the most epic and may I add GENEROUS thing Square Enix would do for its fans however. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if FFVII had PS2 graphics

 They can make X then X-2 in a short enough time why not remake FF 7 in parts? All I got to say the game deserves a remake because the loyal fans of it deserve to have their Fantasy to be Final and that won't happen until they make it.

They aren't completely remaking X and X-2. They're doing the same thing as Ubisoft did with Prince of Persia, and Sony did with God of War. Touch up the graphics a bit, make it so it emulates the extra geomotry and at an higher resolution and some slight tweaks here and there. Where as with Final Fantasy VII, due to it's age, they would have to completely remake it for high definition. I mean let's face it, Final Fantasy VII isn't pretty compared to todays standards, it was the start of the 3d era, and it shows. That would mean, making all new models, all new textures, an all new world. I think they over-exaggerated how long it would take, I remember them saying like 40 years or something daft somewhere, however it would take quite a while 2-3 years perhaps, more if they planned on making a new engine for it. Which is too long to be spending on remakes. Not to mention, remakes will never capture that nostalgia you hold for the original game.

While I agree that they have exaggerated it by saying that a FFVII Remake would take 40 years, I actually disagree that it would take 2-3 years to create. Remaking everything from 7 and adding HD quality to it would take about 5-6 years, I believe.

Oh. But you know Square`s FFXIII Versus started be development as early as 2003 and its still not known if it will be realeased 2011 or 2012. If you think on how many different towns, Midgar, Cutscene, summons, minigames  and also all those different places such as in the lifestream when you have to get Cloud back. Wouldn't`t you believe that a full HD remake of FFVII would take longer? I bet you it would cause then they will make it for the xbox consoles as well.

If not a video game remake, I'm pretty sure the fans would be eternally grateful if they created a FFVII anime series. THEN they'll leave SE alone about it (no offense to those)
