I just read this interesting article that was discussing the quality on Xbox360 and PS3. This article was posted on "eurogamer.net"
The author of the article Richard Leadbetter made an argumented comparison between the two versions, talking about allthe graphic details, the common idea is that the game isn't bad on xbox360 but it is not better compared to the PS3 version.

Quote
"The rumours are true. Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 isn't anywhere near as impressive as it is on PlayStation 3. The real kicker is that it's a lot worse than it should have been."

"Square Enix's latest epic - 4.5 years in the making - follows on the basic principles established by all of its PlayStation predecessors in combining an excellent 3D engine along with vast amounts of pre-rendered CG. This presented two very difficult issues for the developers tasked with porting an already mature PS3 work-in-progress over to the Xbox 360."

After comparing he replied that:

Quote
"Despite the cutbacks, the in-game graphics are still attractive, the gameplay is fundamentally the same as the PS3 version and it's clearly a cut-above much of the other JPRG fare available on the console."
" So, occasionally fine, sometimes grim: a statement that effectively sums up how much of Final Fantasy XIII looks on Xbox 360 when compared to the PlayStation 3 game, meaning that if you own both consoles, there really is only one choice when it comes to the purchasing decision. "

Dont know really, i wouldn't trust anything from eurogamer saying, it could be different settings or something.
1. I'm playing ff13 on 360 and the graphics are totally amazing ( prob the best graphics i ever saw on console so far)
2. lets wait for their official releases and see reviews about the games and see where are the differences.

EDIT: Just checked the first reviews and the both versions of ps3 and 360 got same score. 8.5 by gamespot, IGn between 7.5 (readers) and 8.0 ( press)
EDIT 2: The 360 version of ff13 looks less sharp according to IGN look but i would  say that we should wait  and see at the actual release.

I have heard that rumor too. I have to say im not suprised if it is true. Ok yes I am a PS fan, but i know what the 360 is capabile of and what the PS3 can do. And my HB saw some streams that were on the 360, and he says u really can see some diference.

It isn't really surprising though. First of all cause the game was first solidly designed for the PS3 and second of all cause the hardware in the PS3 are better than in the Xbox360.

Never the less I doubt you really see any differences unless you own both consoles and compair them :Smiley

I also think the quality depends on ur tv aswell. I know that if u have a good tv, for example a HD tv, the difference will indeed be minimal.

Actually, from what I have seen comparing the 2 on HD TV's shows a huge difference... 360 only runs at 576p and PS3 runs at 1080p... kind of a let down to 360 owners. However, differences can't be seen unless you directly compare the 2 side by side at optimal settings on the same video output... I certainly don't have the time or money for that lol. It seems as though a little more effort should have been put into the 360 version of the game. Graphics aside, the game looks great and seems as though it will be a very enjoyable addition to the series!  Grin

Its nice to see them trying to open up to a different segment, though. Square had a fair amount of success with FF11 on the XBox. I think a lot of people who were loyal to FF11 on xbox would have been very disappointed to not see 13 available to them as well. And I'm sure Square will do more than just break even in regards to the cost to port it over. Based on hardware specs alone the graphics wont be able to compare unless Square didnt put as much into the PS3 as they should've. In the long run, I dont think it's going to matter too much. For the families that own both a PS3 and an X-Box some will pick one over the other because they like the controller better, or because they are hoping for a special trophy unlock to add to their collection on whichever system they play more often.

While i love the graphics, the story, gameplay, and music are what do it for me.
There are plenty of flash games I've played lately that hold my attention much longer than some PS and XB games with HD graphics.
