Post Release DLC Details for FINAL FANTASY XIII-2

Jump Festa 2012 is underway and Square Enix has revealed some upcoming DLC plans for XIII-2 at their booth.

First off, the Omega DLC will be available in Japan on 12/22. No pricing was given. Serah and Noel costumes will be releasing starting in January with the AKB48 winning costume and Assassin’s Creed respectively. In February, a swimsuit costume for Serah will be released… as a pink bikini.

This is still pending, but apparently Lightning will be featured as Colosseum DLC. She is said to be wearing her old outfit from FFXIII.

We’ll have more details for you as they come in.

FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 Time Travel Trailer

The next in a series of gameplay videos for FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 has arrived.

The video contains brand new footage of an important element of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, the ability to travel through time. Mysterious gates are positioned around the game’s towns and landscapes. Once these portals are activated by finding hidden artifacts, Serah and Noel can be transported to new, distinct locations to continue their adventure. These settings change over time, so be sure to revisit them to investigate how they‘ve changed over the years.
 
FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 is just days away from its western release.

Lightning Coliseum DLC Dated for February 7th

Note that this only applies to Japan so far.

For ¥300, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Lightning & Sergeant Amoda coliseum battle DLC. Both Lightning and Amoda, aka Daddy Bear will be your opponents. Lightning will come complete in her outfit from FFXIII, and once captured, can join your party in the Blaster role.

Jihl Nabaat Coliseum DLC Coming to FINAL FANTASY XIII-2

According to some posters over at 2ch, we may know who the next batch of FFXIII-2 DLC will contain.

The post in question calls attention to Jihl Nabaat… the disappointingly underused villain from FFXIII. A lone screenshot has been provided to prove its authenticity. Expect an official announcement from Square Enix shortly.

FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 Sazh Episode DLC Due on 2/28

Japanese sources have leaked some upcoming information on the next FFXIII-2 DLC.

Following Lightning & Amodar from last week will be Sazh’s Episode content. The DLC itself will be priced at ¥600 and is called the “Casino and Sazh Compilation” with Sazh’s episode specifically titled “Heads or Tails?” and a separate casino game as well.
 
The Sazh story will likely take place in Xanadu, but full details on both him and the casino game have yet to be revealed.
 
Noel and Serah’s swimsuit costumes are also due out in February for ¥300 each.
