The latest issue of Famitsu contained an interview with Kingdom Hearts creator, Tetsuya Nomura, concerning the 2 newly announced Kingdom Hearts sub-stories, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded on the DS and Kingdom Hearts 3D on the upcoming Nintendo 3DS. Here's what important information I've collected from each title.
Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded- The story is going to be the same as the Japanese mobile phone predecessor, Coded. But will have many major changes.
- The game will feature an adjustable difficulty setting, similar to The World Ends With You.
- Re:Coded's design will seem like a mix of Birth by Sleep, Coded and 358/2 Days.
- The co-director of Birth by Sleep is in charge of the battle system, while the same team is doing the map design.
- Expect the level up system to be similar, yet expanding from Days.
- There WILL be multiplayer elements, including avatars that could be anywhere from characters from Birth by Sleep, to Lightning from FFXIII.
- There is gonna be a secret ending.
- THE GAME IS 80% COMPLETE.
Kingdom Hearts 3DQuick Note: Kingdom Hearts IS an independent game and NOT a remake.
- Sora and Riku are the main characters and will be visiting many new worlds.
- Various hints relating to this game will be found in Re:Coded.
- EXPECT MORE AT NEXT YEAR'S E3.
This is a very exciting time for KH, with these two new games, and BbS coming in September. Hopefully we get some more info soon.
