In the end of one of the cutscenes(the Marquis' fleet vs. Bahamut) in FFXII, there's a ship that says "Icebrand, with me!" so I deemed myself the 70th unit(for ustream, not here) of the fleet and bingo, there's my name!

That is cool, now I got my name from FFXI and it was generated. Tebian it has been forever.

The radio station got its name from our group on FFXI, RGoNots(ayz). They got that name cause I could not easily spell Tebian and the Argonauts like Jason from the Greeks.

Its a long story, but if you really want to know where it came from you have to read the entire story

In the past I always named myself after Cloud. Seeming it was the second final fantasy I played and a popular guy I thought I made directly clear I was addicted to Final Fantasy ;) After a while I began using the name Cloud as my nick-name while playing off-line multilayer games with my friends.

By the step using it on-line you can guess what happens. The name Cloud is obvious being taken. So I made it into VIICloud. For some strange reason this name was still free on most sites (except Youtube, so now you also know where the name VIIBram comes from ;)

Then something funny happened. My Ps3 crashed and needed to be repaired (this ain't funny of-course, but the rest is). My PsN name was VIICloud, but it the data was stored on my hard disk. When I got my new Ps3 (the old one couldn't be fixed) I wanted to put in the data of my old account. Error It seemed that back then I made a single mistake in my E-mail. So there was no way I could recover my data

Well then I was back to zero and I needed a new account name. People recognised me as Cloud so it should be something with Cloud in it. Then it came to my mind. One of my best friends is called Peter. A common short cut of it is Peer, but you can image that it isn't something personal if every Peter is called peer. Thats why for some strange reason most people begone to call him Da_Peer. Well there you have it Da_Cloud

Well if that ain't a long story And the best part is still that Cloud isn't even my most favourite Character. He isn't even the charter I most resemble to

I got my username when I was coming back to ffxi and made a Tarutaru red mage(tarutaru is a small race) so in spanish poco means little and terremoto means earthquake. terremoto was added since i was doing red mage and they dont make as big as a "boom" with their nukes. So thats how I came up with my name.

lol best answer for great topic. I was born with part of my nickname as well lol.
 "enti" is the first part of my real name "entissar" which means "victory", enti in arabic means "you", it isnt really very specific but it sounded nice as nickname, I wanted to choose somthg similar on forums so I came up with "Sweety_Enti" meaning "sweety you", when you think of it as combined english-arabic nickname it was just cute lol
someone registered after that nickname in ustream so I had to come up with another one which was "Enti_San" and that was story behind my nicknames. lol

A1X_Jet (from the other forum), comes from my middle name which I most commonly go by on the internet Alex(a 1=L no e, x) and the Jet was just a combo of my first and middle names J(first name)e(in alex)t(also from first name--JonaThan).

Of course, A1xx is just a better variation on that that I prefer to use!
And my email account JtoA1xRes is of course my full name condensed into 9 letters, the Res being letters of my last name.

The name I go by in normal everyday life is Ryan. The music director at my church decided to nickname me Rhino, and has been calling me that for many years now. I was transitioning off an old username that I've used for over a decade (Gryfyin), and was looking for something to replace it and decided to spin the Rhino nickname. Half of my family works in medicine, so "rhinovirus" (common cold) came to mind. I wanted to make sure the name would be available in most places, so I switched to the I to a Y to more line up with my actual name.

My nickname comes from when I used to play Runescape LONG time ago. It was my older brothers characters name and when he got bored with it he gave it to me and well... It just became "the nickname" for a lot of things.
 But then I wanted something more casual and I always had loved Lucky Luke and I used that for a while. As I kept seeing other people using the same nick as me, I changed it to Laggy Luke, seen as my internet connection was not the best.

it was a old friend who looked up my real name on japanese and it came "tsubasa" and then we mixed it a bit and it became to "Xebas", but after a while i didnt really like the "s" in it so i changed it to a "z"
