welcome to the forum were your opinions about games can be read i want this forum to be about square and non square games and please don't start wars here this is opinion based thoughts so please if it gets you mad keep it to yourself with that said il start it off with monster hunter 3(tri)
I've played the game for about 3 weeks now and i want to make this opinion quick i think its a great game that will keep you busy for along time
with that said if your a newcomer like me you should read up on weapons and stuff as they are not your typical better attack is the better weapon thing has the weaker weapons could have a bonus effect like the sword i had which was weaker then my hammer but had a chance of stunning enemy's with a paralyze shock and another thing i want to point out that if you want the game to be easy well it wont be UNLESS you have a friend who's a pro and you can co op with him then things will be a bit easier i also recommended the controller unless your used to the wiimote other then those things its like i said its a great game and if your bored and looking for a new game to play and have a wii just slide monster hunter 3 in your wii and you have 200+ hours of fun and cool monster hunts did i mention it will make you a carnivore Grin

yeah sounds cool i would really like to try it online and interact with other players. the weapon system looks cool and customization of my player would be a cool thing to spend some time on.

I played the first Monster Hunter on PS2 and while it was pretty exciting and the loot was rewarding, it just got a little too repetitive for me after awhile.  It required too much time and effort, so I never really garnered an interest in any of the later versions of the game to come to PS2 or PSP.  Tri looks good, but not something I could commit to I think.

after playing alan wake for about 8 hours i relized that its a good game but with bad gameplay let me just point 1 thing out that makes it majorly bad the dodging mahcanics work like crap half the time you end up getting hit which is bad n the whole thing with the flashlight is kinda dumb because all it does is take the darkness shield away from enemys but they can still charge at you making the flashlight totaly useless while i like the game for being great horror i simply cant ignore the number of times i died from the dodging machanics not working the way they should with that said if your looking for a new horror game with more challange then it needs to have alan wake on the xbox 360 is your anser o yeah and dont forget to grap all the coffe mugs or alan will get angery from lack of coffe  Grin

alright I was asked on my opinions of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Personally I don't like it as much as I should have.

- don't like aiming with the wiimote, its hard to get used to
- too much use of the motion controls (turning dials, pushing buttons, twisting controls)
- I always had the idea that samus was alone, not hunting with a bunch of other guys

anyways it does have its good points

- nice new power ups
- The ability to rip shields off of enemies with the grapple beam
- it looks absolutely gorgeous

I would probably give it 6/10

Really? I myself find Metroid Prime 3: Corruption to be a pretty good game.

-Am I the only one who found the aiming to be easy and natural? I had slight problems at the start, but after 2 hours at most, it started to feel natural and fun. I felt like I was doing the aiming, I was shooting them in the face.
-Too much motion controls? I guess at the start they go pretty crazy with you having to turn a bunch of crap, but it wasn't constant later into it, and I think it felt immersive.
Even though they weren't the bestthing ever, I found it great that you actually get to do something with the motion controls, I wouldn't play the Wii if I didn't like the motion control.
-Samus is 90% of the game alone, blowing space pirates to bits, and only at the start and at the end, do you have people to help you out, I mean when you're alone, exploring all those planets, I felt like I was alone. The "other hunters" were just boss battles waiting to happen, I liked that Samus isn't the only hunter, in the entire galaxy.

But hey, not everyone can like it and I respect your opinion, and I'm not saying that you have to like it, somethings just don't click with other people.
If I were to give it a rating from 0-10 it would an 8.

i think that metroid prime 3 is a great game but the controlls seem like they were not made for the boss fights in metroid prime 3 cause those bosses become hard because of the motion controlls

In this quiet bit of gaming season for me, I've been trying to give some attention to some past games I may have overlooked because of the big releases at the beginning of the year.  I have been playing Darksiders for the PS3/360 and in my opinion it was definitely a criminally under-rated game when it was released.  I think it got buried under the shuffle of Mass Effect 2, FF13, God of War 3, etc.  It also released close to Bayonetta, so people obviously drew comparisons since they are both action-oriented titles.

That said, I'm probably 3/4 of the way through the game, and I've found its blatant melding of aspects from God of War, Zelda, Devil May Cry, Uncharted (platforming sections haha), and more to be a delight.  Its art-style is robust and unique, giving each character and demon a sense of weight and scale, and the combat offers a lot of variety.  In addition to your staple sword, you have the option to use a secondary weapon (scythe or gauntlets), and then on top of that you have supplementary tools/weapons you can use (boomerang, battle horn, pistol, to name a few).  If that weren't enough, there are special abilities you can activate, and you can also activate "super demon mode" [my name for it] for a brief time to destroy enemies.  They also have a few on-rails shooter sections, the ability to pick up and use environmental items as weapons, and a horse you can summon and ride in quite a few instances - it never gets too boring!

The story is a bit sparse but pretty interesting nonetheless, and the voice acting is solid all around.  The music is ambient and moody, but isn't prominent enough in my opinion.  The difficulty on the default level is pretty easy (baring a few instances where you might miss something to help your battle, like a demonic grenade launcher to fend off a horde of fallen angels), and aside from the first major boss, the "dungeon" bosses have given me absolutely no problems.  This is one game I recommend most seasoned gamers play on the hardest difficulty setting.

If you're looking for a game that is solid all around, but doesn't necessarily re-invent the wheel, Darksiders gets my recommendation.  I feel its the "adult" Zelda, taking familiar aspects of that series and throwing in more mature themes and violence into the mix.  Its fun and accessible, and that alone has kept me hooked!
