So, the title is self explanatory. What is the latest thing you liked? (song/band/album...)

I recently discovered a Czech band by the named of Cechomor. At first I thought they were just interesting, until I heard their symphonic album called Mezi Horami (Among the hills). This has officially become my favorite album ever to have existed. A song from the aformentioned album played live:

Čechomor - Svatba

I can't say it's a recen discovery, but since it's one of my favorite bands (if not my favorite) and they're not so well known, I'll share with you. The band's name is Agalloch. They have three full-length albums and the fourth one's release date is November 23rd. They're a dark metal band, but also have a lot of acoustic parts in their songs. In 2008 they released The White EP which is 98% acoustic. Even you dislike metal, you should listen to the EP. Here's one song from the EP:

Agalloch - The Isle of Summer

Here's a pretty sad one from the album "The Mantle":

Agalloch - A Desolation Song

And here is one that's a bit darker and more heavy, from the album "Pale Folklore":

Agalloch - As Embers Dress the Sky

Sorry for making a huge post, but since they're one of my favorite bands, it's hard to decide which songs are the best.

I present to you Laibach, a Slovenian industrial/neoclassical group which started as the part of the NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst or The New Slovenian Art) in the early 1980s. Their songs ridicule those at power, nazism, communism and any oppressive governnment. Their dressing code backs up the satire. In essence, they are anarchists. They are known for covering songs in a way they can convey their own message.

They range from absolutely epic: (cover from Siddhartha)
Laibach - B Mashina

To ridiculously epic :P  : (cover from Opus)
Laibach - Life is Life (High Quality DVDRip)

And thank you Tebian Smiley

Yeah, I also like Agalloch, regardless of it being 99% acoustic. Smiley

Um... they're more like 20% acoustic. Listen to their other songs.
