Kingdom Hearts 3D Trailer with subtitles

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (Official Trailer English Sub 1080p)

The official logo,as you can see Riku and Sora have new duds Smiley Smiley

KH3D confirmed for a "Spring 2012" release in Japan.

KH3D Trailer Impression (With Dialogue)
Compiled by Aibo from FF-Reunion and translated by SQEXGAL~

!

It starts in Yen Sid’s room, Yen Sid sits in his chair behind his desk, Sora and Riku stand across from him. They appear in their KH2 outfits, but Riku’s hair is short.

(BGM - Destati)

- Mysterious Tower -

Sora and Riku are being told what the Mark of Mastery test is and being approved of it.

Donald and Goofy are also standing, at that time, side by side in reserve. The side of the royal palace (Disney Castle) makes an appearance.
Mickey appears to be looking on.

Also, the current state of the main characters: Riku's only physical change was his hair being cut, but for both Sora and Riku, their
clothing had some changes as well.

Yen Sid: From here, you two will take the Mark of Mastery Exam.

Sora, surprised: Even without taking it, no one can beat me!

Riku, facing downward: Having walked the path of darkness, I wonder if it’d really be right for me to wield the Keyblade. You’d have to make sure.

Sora: Riku…

Yen Sid: Let’s open the keyhole of sleep. If you return back to this place, then I will consider you Masters

Then immediately after Yen Sid speaks, a stream of imagery begins to play.
- Sora and Riku standing on Destiny Islands scene.
We see Sora floating through something that looks like a tornado.

Traverse Town 1st District

Sora floats down onto the second floor of the building near the place where the Blue Trinity mark was [from KH1].

Sora: "Eh.... Here is..."These strange clothes!"

Sora: "Ah....Asides from that, where's Riku?"

After this, Sora puts up his hands and calls out...

Sora: "Heeeey... Rikuuuu!!"

Neku: "Hey, quiet down."

Sora looks around trying to find the source of the voice.

Neku: "It's such a dangerous noise."

The bottom half of Neku's body appears from the rooftop.

Sora: "Uwaaah!!"

Sora falls over in surprise as Neku comes to down to his level.

Neku: "You're Sora?"

Yen Sid: A large number of Heartless reside in the world of darkness. Instead, in the world submerged in sleep there exists a particular key. That is, creatures who consume dreams known as the Dream Eaters. Searching for the Dream Eaters will guide you to the key of sleep.

(Battle action sequences of Sora are shown.)

Neku, showing Sora the scarlet mark on his hand: This is from the Game. All the participants have it engraved upon them. I can’t afford to lose this Game!

Sora: I don’t really get ‘the Game’, but maybe I can lend a hand?

The scene changes to the world of Notre Dame.

Riku is speaking with Quasimodo who is holding Esmeralda: Quasimodo, where did the creatures go?

Quasimodo: To the rooftop of cathedral.

A Dream Eater with wings like a butterfly descends upon them.

Quasimodo: Me too, me too, I’ll fight too!

The scene returns to Neku and Sora in a plaza inTraverse Town.

Sora, facing Neku: Come to think of it, I didn’t ask your name.

All of a sudden several Dream Eaters appear around them!

Neku with surprise: Dream Eaters!

Sora: That’s a weird name.

Neku, pointing at the Dream Eaters: Not me, those!

Yen Sid: Opening the keyhole of sleep, along with finding a new power, the power locked in sleep will become revealed as well.

The trailer continues, showing the AR capabilities of playing with the Dream Eater pets, it’s a lot like Nintendogs. Maybe you’ll be able to raise them up too?

Radiant Garden!

From the viewpoint of someone who's staggering on their feet....
This moment seems to be mirrored with Even and Ienzo also collapsing onto the floor.

Braig: "Xehanort! What are you going to do about the Heart!?"

The focus is again, from the staggering/wavering viewpoint towards Braig. (Like in the trailer)

Braig: "You...., did you regain your memory?"

Xehanort produces the keyblade. It's breaking out as the keyblade is raised in the air.

The screen then blacks out theatrically, displaying KINGDOM HEARTS 3D Dream Drop Distance, Spring 2012.

]Neku in KH3D Something to note is that, like Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends With You was conceptualized by Tetsuya Nomura.

The following comments are thanks to Jeremy Parish on 1up.com!

Neku appears as a guest character in Sora's side of the TGS demo
-- though not a playable guest. Both Neku and his rival/friend/frienemy Riku team up with captured dream-monsters this time around rather than fighting alongside licensed characters. Neku's role is more that of the Disney-world guests from previous games. He shows up, reveals that he's caught in a "game," leaving him 43 minutes to win or die. Naturally, he asks Sora to be his partner but ultimately decides the tousle-haired protagonist is "a weird guy" and takes off. Sora follows, riding rails in pursuit of Neku, but quickly encounters a boss battle set in a cul-de-sac of Traverse Town. Both sides of the demo (Sora and Riku) are essentially the same, really: A brief story set-up, a few set encounters, and a boss fight. Riku interacts with Quasimoto from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is admittedly less interesting than Neku; on the other hand, Riku has a double-jump, which is always great. The demo is just enough to give a feel for what KH3D adds to the series. While the camera is still a hyperactive mess that makes boss battles a pain (all the 3DS's buttons are used, so there's no lock-on system that I could find), everything else about the game feels significantly improved over previous Kingdom Hearts. The action is fluid and smooth, with much more refined combat. Fighting enemies feels less like combo-driven button mashing that locks your hero into canned animations than in previous installments, and your skill set has been improved considerably. Both demo characters possess a standard repertoire of magic skills such as Cura and Blizzaga, which are activated and cycled through as they were in Birth By Sleep, but they also can perform special Dual Link attacks with their partners by pressing Y. Dual Link skills are context-sensitive and seem to vary according to your current partners, enemies, and positioning. You can pull off different skills while on the ground or in the air. A key part of these skills seems to be something called (inexplicably) Holy Rope, which are a series of nodes placed around battlefields. Pressing A and X while near one of these Holy Rope points freezes the action and allows you to use the touch screen to draw connections between points on the area map, which then sends Sora or Riku dashing through the air along the prescribed course. Using the Holy Rope paths to intersect foes allows you to pull off standard or special attacks while they're otherwise out of reach. The TGS demo of Dream Drop Distance is fairly brief -- about 20 minutes to complete both portions -- but shows a game that looks and plays beautifully. Square hasn't formally announced a U.S. release date for KH3D, but the notion that they wouldn't localize such a sure hit is enough to get a man laughed out of the room. Honestly now.
.

Dream Eater:
The Heartless are made up of darkness.
But in "The world enclosed by sleep" a different darkness exists.
Monsters who eat dreams, "Dream Eaters"
These are divided into two types: "ones that eat dreams and plant nightmares" and "ones that eat nightmares"

System:
Sora and Riku both fly around among new Disney worlds. Moreover there's evolved action, and new cooperative techniques with their new Dream Eater friends.

Darkness becomes light,
Light falls into darkness.
Dreams are connected to each other--
When you fall into a dream,
You are connected through dreams to "The world enclosed in sleep".
And if you open the "Keyhole of sleep" in that world,
The world will be released--

KH3D demo report

krexia from KHInsider's was able to play Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance at this year's Tokyo Game Show, and she's sent in the sweet details about the demo !!!
SORA'S SCENARIO
!

Sora (decked out in a new costume) was in a familiar locale, Traverse Town. (Note: the menus look nothing like the trailer Square Enix released earlier this year.)
Sora calls out for Riku, but meets Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You instead. Neku jumps down from the roof a building and explains his situation. Just like the Nintendo DS game, he’s trapped in a game and shows Sora the timer on his hand. He needs a partner to play and Sora, kind as usual, offers to help. I thought this would be the perfect point to add Neku to Sora’s group. Surprisingly, Neku rejects Sora saying he’s weird. Determined to help, Sora chases after Neku.

Traverse Town had monsters to fight, but Sora had nothing to fear. At least for the demo, Sora was beefed up with powerful attacks like Final Break, which can cover half the screen. Players can switch special moves by pressing up or down on the d-pad. Attacks automatically change after you use a move and recharge overtime. The A button was for regular keyblade swipes, B made Sora jump, and Y was for the rotating command.

Donald and Goofy weren’t around, but Sora had computer controlled teammates. Monsters, actually. His partner characters in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance were a pink panda roughly the size of the pudgy heartless from the originalKingdom Hearts and a dog with a unicorn horn called a Wondanyan. These critters attack on their own and even fight their own kind. I watched as my panda pummeled another. No explanation was given on how or if you can capture more dream creatures. These two were just assigned to Sora’s party.

Each dream creature has a special attack called a Dual Link, which you can activate by pressing an icon on the touch screen. The panda grabs Sora and spins him around, kind of like that dual tech with Robo and Crono called Cyclone Sweep. The Wondanyan has an amusing team attack where Sora rides the monster and bounces around as if he was on a pogo stick. I crushed an enemy or two using this attack, but I suppose you can use this dual link to avoid enemies too. Dual Links have different recovery times, the panda’s recharges considerably faster than the Wondanyan. Dual Links are tied to creatures and they each have their own Dual Link meter.
A large boss was waiting at the end of the level, which tripped the camera up at times.Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distancehas a lock-on feature, but I found rotating the camera myself worked better. While locked on, the camera would sometimes zoom in too much or an object would get in the way. A few Final Break and panda cyclones later and the boss was defeated. The demo ended with the Wondanyan doing a little shimmy.

Neku meets Sora
Neku: You're Sora?
Sora: Yeah, but how did you know who I am?
[Quite a few screens of dialogue missing in between these]
Neku: It's decided! This is a game! [intended in the manner of "Don't you realise this is a game?!"]

RIKU'S SCENARIO
Rikus gameplay
!
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Gameplay Part 2 - Tokyo Game Show 2011

Siliconera have provided a detailed summary of Riku's scenarion in the KH3D demo.Riku, who has a new look with short hair, begins the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance demo in the Hunchback of Notre Dame world. He sees Quasimoto clutching an injured Esmeralda. As soon as I got control of Riku, I ran into weak enemies and hit them by pressing A for a basic attack. The other attack changes depending on which moves you have in a deck. You can rotate through spells like Dark Fire, Cura, and Blizzaga plus techniques such as Dark Breaker by pressing up and down on the D-pad. The slide pad makes your character move, B is for jump, and L/R rotate the camera.

I figured it wasn’t worth fighting vanilla monsters with Esmeralda wounded, so I ran straight to the next area. A mini-map on the bottom screen lets you know where to go and it’s possible, at least in the Tokyo Game Show demo, to run past enemies.

You have to fight bosses and Riku’s side has a purple-ish lizard with a square torso. Maybe it’s something like a purple dragon bursting out form a colorful cardboard box. The monster flies all around the screen, which may have been a challenge in previous Kingdom Hearts games, but not Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Riku can fly too by holding B and has no problem hovering in the air.

I flew towards the boss prepared to use Dark Breaker and noticed a bunch of nodes encircling the battlefield. Hit one of these and you can connect the nodes by drawing lines on the touch screen. This sends Riku barreling on the path you created, useful for closing distance when you’re up against tough monsters. All of the flying and high speed action made Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance feel like it has a touch of Dragon Ball Z.

I beat the boss by using basic attacks and waiting from the monster to think its closing in on me. After I defeated it a Wondernyan, a puppy like dream pet you can control, showed up and wagged its tail before the screen that thanked people for playing the game.

Tetsuya Nomura has posted on the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter. Thanks to FF-Reunion for the tip. Here is a translation by andriasang.com:

Free Flow Action
These are the "flashy" actions Nomura has mentioned in the past. By pressing Y, you can make your character kick off walls, swing around poles, slide down rails, and so-forth. You can string together these actions. You can also connect into other moves -- pressing A or a powerful attack, or B for a jump.
Reality Shift
When you're attacking enemies, objects and enemies will sometimes be highlighted with a cursor. Press X and A simultaneously, and you can perform special attacks through the lower screen.
Dual Link
In DDD, you fight along side demons known as "Dream Eaters." In the TGS demo, you start off with two of these in your party. As you build up a gauge, the Dream Eater's icon will begin to flash. Tap the icon on the lower screen, and you'll be able to do a team attack. You can also team up with both Dream Eaters simultaneously.

Tetsuya Nomura first says that it has been a long time. Then, he invites everyone to experience KH3D at TGS 2011, and says he will explain the system a little. Street lamps, handrails, etc can be grabbed by pressing the Y button. This way you can jump kick the wall and rotate on the pole, showing a variety of bold action. It is possible to fly through the air longer when you click the Y button.

By clicking Y continuously, you can jump between walls. This can lead to a strong attack from the A button, and with the B button you can jump large. This shows a variety of free flow action. You can go to the bottom screen by clicking the A and X buttons at the same time, which will begin a special attack. Your two companions will link with you, and you'll have a Dream Eater Earn gauge. You can get a tandem attack Dream Eater if you touch the icon of the bottom screen while flashing.

To be honest, I'm just happy for the fact that I'll be playing as the REAL Sora again! Unlike KH 358/2 Days (Roxas), KH BBS (Terra, Aqua, and Ventus), and KH Coded (Data Sora)

the news from Japanese publication Jump Festa is the Kingdom Hearts 3D will be hitting Japan in March 2012, also it seems as if three characters have been announced as being in the game: Axel, Terranort, and Vanitas.
