Deus Ex: Human Revolution (previously Deus Ex 3) will be the third game in the first-person role-playing game Deus Ex  series, and a prequel to the original game.

It is being developed by Eidos Montreal in co-production with Square Enix, who are responsible for pre-rendered movie sequences and publishing. Neither Warren Spector nor Harvey Smith, the creative directors behind the first two games, are attached to the project.

The Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition (pictured above) will come packed with a whole bunch of goodies: a 40-page artbook, a "Making of" DVD, and a motion graphic novel tied in to the game. Best of all, these extras will only set you back $10 more than the regular version: $69.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $59.99 for PC.

If you're serious about your Deus Ex, you can get your hands on even more extra stuff by preordering. Do so at GameStop, and you'll receive the Linebacker G-87 grenade launcher, the explosive UR-DED (utility remote-detonated explosive device), an automatic unlocking device, and an exclusive bonus mission that will include a cameo of a character from the first Deus Ex. Other unspecified participating retailers will offer a Huntsman double-barrel shotgun and a Longsword extreme range sniper rifle for preordering.

To see the preorder bonuses in action, check out the videos below. The first showcases the GameStop pack, while the second shows off the extra weapons from other retailers. It sounds like both preorder packs will also include extra in-game credits for purchasing upgrades.

Why spend $60 on the plain vanilla version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution when you can get a box full of extra stuff for $70? Square Enix details the Augmented Edition and preorder bonuses for the upcoming action RPG sequel.

Available early next year for $69.99 ($59.99 PC), the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition bundles the game inside some rather attractive premium packaging, along with a 40-page art book, a motion graphic novel, a making-of DVD, and the game's soundtrack. Pretty standard stuff, but that art book sure looks gorgeous, doesn't it?

More bonuses come to those that preorder the game at participating retailers. Putting money down at a retailer that isn't GameStop will score players the Tactical Enhancement Pack, which comes with a Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, the Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range Sniper Rifle, and extra credits to spend in game.

GameStop preorders will secure the Explosive Mission Pack, packed with a Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device, an automatic unlocking device, and an entirely new mission to play through, featuring a cameo by a character from the original Deus Ex.

This is the original maker of the game and what it looked like.
